Dr. Bohrer Lasertec has been founded 2006 in Neusiedl am See and is a new foundation of a Management buy-out of "Wild Werkstätte für Feinmechanik und Optik".

Wild
For 6 years Dr. Bohrer has been head of R&D of Wild Austria. The headquarter of Wild in Switzerland - today Leica Geosystems - has its registered office in Heerbrugg in the Canton St. Gallen (East of Switzerland, near the border to Austria) and is the technical successor of the 1921 founded company Wild Heerbrugg, which made a merger 1987/88 with Leitz Wetzlar and the geodetic branch of Kern & Co. AG under the new name Wild Leitz AG.
From 1990 on the consolidated companies with other technical production branches traded under the worldwide famous brand name of the camera manufacturer Leica, but has been divided again in smaller entities between 1996 and 1998.
TU Vienna - Research Institute for High Power Lasers
in 1985 Dr. Bohrer was the first assistant on the - from Herrn Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Dieter Schuöcker - newly founded Research Institute for High Power Lasers on the Arsenal in Vienna (in cooperation with the Central Welding Instutite and TÜV Süd). Today Dr. Bohrer gives the lecture "Fundamentals of Laser Technology" at TU Vienna in his function as State Doctor.

Dr. Bohrer has worked for years as head of R&D for high power lasers and has been responible for sales in Eastern Europe. A partnership still existing since 1989.
